Having problems getting the AR piece to work. Try these steps:
- Click ‘allow’ in the box on the right to let the site use your webcam, this tells the system that it is okay for the website to use your webcam.
- If your camera still isn't working check that there isn't another application using it (sometimes the computer comes with a configuration program that runs at startup). In most cases there is a light on or beside the camera that switches on when it is working.
- If you are running a Mac you may need to tell Flash which camera to use for the movie. Right click on the movieclip and click settings. At the bottom of the window that opens, to the left of the close button there is a webcam icon. Click on this and then select "USB Video Class Video" in the dropdown to select the iSight camera. The light beside the camera should come on now.
- Most cameras can compensate for bright or poor light conditions automatically by changing the brightness of the video. The system is designed to look for the black pattern so you may need to switch on or off some lights or move the camera so it is pointing in a different direction for the pattern to be detected.
- If it is still not working you should check if the webcam works in any other applications and, if not, look at reinstalling the drivers for it.
